  • A Teams Phone is a physical phone that utilizes a Microsoft 365 Feature that enables users to make and receive calls using Microsoft Teams.


Can I make emergency calls using a Teams Phone?

  • Yes, Teams supports Emergency Calling and can dial 911 directly.


How does voicemail work in Teams Phone?

  • The Voicemail is built into Teams, please check out our Team Phone layout to locate the Voicemail button.


What types of Headsets will work with the app?

  • Any Bluetooth headset that has a mic built in.
  • Any Wireless headset that has a USB dongle & built in mic.
  • Any Wired headset that has a built in mic.

 

Does the phone come with a Headset?

  • A Headset can be requested by contacting the Help Desk.

 

What Headset is provided by the Help Desk?

  • The provided Headset is the Blackwire 5210 USB-C

What is a Call Queue?

  • A Call Queue places callers on hold and distributes calls to a group of users.


Why does my phone and computer ring at the same time?

  • Teams rings all signed-in devices by default.


Can I answer a call on my computer if my desk phone is ringing?

  • Yes, if you answer on one device it stops the ringing on the others.


What happens if I miss a call?

  • Missed calls show up in your Teams call history and may go to voicemail.


Do I need to log into my Teams Phone every day?

  • No, the desk phone stays signed in unless logged out or restarted.


What happens if my desk phone loses power or network?

  • Calls will still come to the teams app if you're signed in.


Does my desk phone work during a computer outage?

  • It does as long as the phone has power and a network connection.


What information should I provide when reporting a call issue?

  • The time of call, device used, and who you were calling.


Can I make calls if Teams is down?

  • You cannot make calls if Teams is down.


Do I need to know full phone numbers to call coworkers?

  • No, you can search by name in Teams


Can I favorite contacts for quick access?

  • Yes, favorites are available in Teams
