Resolution:  

1. Click on the windows icon in the bottom left of your screen
    
2. Type in "Power Settings" and click on that option (It should appear as "Power & Sleep Settings")
    
3. Change the settings accordingly

Options to change:

Screen:

When running on battery, you can set how long after being inactive until the screen turns off

When plugged in, you can set how long after being inactive until the screen turns off
 

Sleep:

When running on battery, you can set how long after being inactive until the machine goes to sleep

When plugged in, you can set how long after being inactive until the machine goes to sleep
