How to access and use Teams Call tab via the Desktop App



If the "Calls" tab is not appears on the left side of Teams please follow the first 3 steps. If it does appear skip to step 4.

1. Click the "..." option located on the left side of Teams.

Click on the "..." icon located on the left taskbar of Teams.
 

2. In the search bar that appears type "Calls", and click on the first option.

In the Search bar type "Calls" and click on the first option.
 

3. Right click on the "Calls" app and click PIN to save you from manually searching for it every time.

Right click on the Calls tab and click the "Pin" option.
 

4. In the Calls Tab there will be 3 main columns available to you, the first column allows you to manually type a number/extension.

4a. If their name exists within our directory you can search by name or by number(Including external lines) and press "Call"

Type in a name from the SUNY Canton Directory or a phone number(Including external lines)
 

4b. The section located at the bottom of the column allows for a location to be set, call forwarding, and the input/output for the calls you make/receive.

Select your location, your call forwarding settings, and your audio settings for the call.



5. There is a History Tab that keeps record of previous phone calls. You can filter calls by how they were made.

Click the filter icon and select how you would like to file the calls that have been made.

6. Finally there is a Speed Dial tab that allows you to save contacts used frequently.

6a. You can add a contact by clicking the person with a "+" icon and typing in their name/phone number.

Click on the person icon with a "+" symbol to add a contact.
 

6b. Once you have added a contact you can call them by hovering over their name and clicking the phone icon.

Click on the Phone icon to call the contact that was added to speed dial.
