Mapping a Shared Drive on a Mac

Shows how to add a network shared drive on a Mac.

Resolution:
 

  • Located at the top of the screen under the navigation bar, Click on the "Go" option then "Connect to Server...".

Located in the top left corner click on the "Go" option and click the very bottom option to "Connect to Server...".
 

 

  • Type in the server name using the smb://[groupfiles or charon]/fileshare name] format without the "[]", then click "Connect".

  • On the next prompt "You are attempting to connect to the server "[charon or groupfiles]" click "Connect".

  • Sign in with the user's NetID (first part of email) and their password, then click "Connect".
