How to Manage Access to a OneDrive File or Folder From the Browse

How to edit file/folder access in OneDrive.

  • Right-click the file you wish to restrict access on, and left-click "Manage access".

  • Click the person whose permissions you intend to change.

  • From there click the option that says "Direct Access: ".

  • Now you can click on the drop-down menu and select what access you would like that person to have, or select "Remove direct access" at the bottom if you want them to lose access completely.
  • If you changed their access, click apply, and you are done.

  • If you are revoking their access click "Remove" and you are done.

  • To fully stop sharing a file or folder, you will need to disable any links.
  • Click the "Links" tab of the Manage Access window.

  • Click the "Remove link" button to remove the link, or select the "More options" option to change it.
