How to enable @mentions in Teams

Resolution:  To enable or disable @mentions in Teams, follow the steps below:

 

  • Open teams and locate the "Teams" option on the left side of the screen and click on it. Then locate the Team that you are the owner/co-owner, click on the "..." icon and click on "Manage team".

  • Click on the Settings option located at the top of the screen in the menu bar. Go down to the "@mentions" drop down menu and ensure both check-box's are checked.

Go down to the "@mentions" drop down menu and ensure the "Show members the option to @team or @[team name] (this will send a notification to everyone on the team)" and "Give members the option to @channel or @[channel name].   • After, you and other members in the team will be able to mention other users using the "@" symbol.
