  • Syncing your Teams files to OneDrive is a great way to make them more accessible. Once synced, the files behave as if they are saved locally.
  • To sync your Teams files, navigate to the Teams channel you would like to sync, click the channel that contains the files, click the files tab, and click Sync.

Syncing a channel in Teams

 

  • Once the files have finished being backed up to OneDrive, you will be able to access the files from File Explorer under a new "SUNY Canton" option, which will contain all of the Teams files you sync in the future as well. 

Accessing synced files

 

  • These files will stay synced as long as you are connected to the Internet and OneDrive.
  • Deleting files from here will also remove them for everyone else in Teams. If you want to remove them for yourself only, follow these instructions.
