Resolution: Follow the steps below to use Pharos Secure Print as a guest:
***Access to guest printing is subject to approval from our information services security team. Once approved, an invitation to use our guest printing services will be sent via email. Please continue with the following steps***
1. Open the email you received that includes a subject line of “Pharos Secure Release Guest Invite”. The sender of this email will be no-reply@beacon.pharos.com.
*** If you do not see this email in your inbox, please make sure to check your SPAM/Junk folders. ***
2. Click the hyperlink labelled “Secure Release Guest Portal”.
3. A Pharos website will load, and present you with two boxes. The first, will allow you to upload your file(s) in order to prepare and choose your desired settings & formatting for printing. You can begin by selecting the yellow "Upload" button and choosing your document(s).
(Note that your file has to be in one of the following formats: PDF, JPEG, BMP, PNG, TXT, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX to be considered for printing)
4. Now that you have chosen the document(s) you would like to print, you can now select the second window visible on your screen and begin to customize and choose your desired print settings as outlined in the next step below.
5. After selecting the second window, a dialogue box will appear with the following options for you to choose:
6. Once you have finalized your settings you can now select the “Print” Button. This will release your document(s) into your virtual print queue, for printing at any Pharos labeled device on campus.
7. At the printer you will see two login options at the bottom of the screen. Select the button on the left that corresponds to “Passcode Login” and enter your passcode.
(This passcode will have already been sent to any registered guests by email directly from Pharos with subject line of “Pharos Secure Release Guest Passcode”)
8. Now you are signed into the device, and can print your document(s). You have the option to print your entire queue by selecting the yellow "Print All" button, or you can choose to be more granular and choose specific documents for printing at certain times by selecting the “Review Print Jobs” button directly to the left.
