How to Create a Teams Code

Resolution:  To create a Teams code to send to another user, follow the steps below:

 

  • Open Teams, Select the teams option located on the left side of the screen. Select the team tha you are the owner/co-owner and would like to generate the code for the team. Then go to the top of the screen and click on "Settings" in the middle upper side of the screen. Go down to the "Team code" drop down and click "Generate". Take note of the code as this is what the other person will use when joining the team. 

Open Teams, Select the teams option located on the left side of the screen. Select the team tha you are the owner/co-owner and would like to generate the code for the team. Then go to the top of the screen and click on "Settings" in the middle upper side of the screen. Go down to the "Team code" drop down and click "Generate". Take note of the code as this is what the other person will use when joining the team. 
 

  • On the other person's device have them open Teams, Navigate to the Teams Tab

"Join or Create Team" Located on top right side of Teams
 

  • Have that person go to the top right side of teams and click on "Join or create team" and "Join team" 

"Join Team" Location under "Join or create team" option.
 

  • Have them type in the Code and click "Add team"

Type in the Team Code and click "Add team"
 

  • After that it will pull up the team that you invited them to. 

New team will pop up for invited user.
