Syncing your Teams files to OneDrive is a great way to make them more accessible. Once synced, the files behave as if they are saved locally.
To sync your Teams files, navigate to the Teams channel you would like to sync, click the channel that contains the files, click the files tab, and click Sync.
Once the files have finished being backed up to OneDrive, you will be able to access the files from File Explorer under a new "SUNY Canton" option, which will contain all of the Teams files you sync in the future as well.
These files will stay synced as long as you are connected to the Internet and OneDrive.
Deleting files from here will also remove them for everyone else in Teams. If you want to remove them for yourself only, follow the instructions
